Saltwater Cottage Booking Terms and Conditions
The cottage is hired on the
basis that the accommodation is for holiday use only and that no rights to
remain in the cottage exist in the holidaymaker or any person accompanying
him/her on holiday.
A deposit of £100 per week
per let shall be paid on booking and no accommodation may be reserved until Mr
& Mrs Hall has issued a receipt for the deposit. Without prejudice to any
greater liability on the part of the hirer, Mr & Mrs Hall shall apply that
deposit in payment of any outstanding sums under the following heads:
(a)
Payment in
respect of any breakages, damages or losses incurred at the premises
(b)
Any excess
cleaning charges incurred by reason of the state of the property at the end of
the let
(c)
Loss of any keys
(This
liability is not limited to £100)
The deposit, or any balance
thereof, shall be returned to the hirer within two weeks after the last day of
the holiday booking.
Hirers of accommodation must
appreciate that the acceptance of their deposit creates a contract between them
and the owners of the property and that they become liable for all the charges
from that moment.
All charges for the hire of
holiday accommodation are due for payment in full (the deposit is non
deductible) four weeks before the commencement of the hire period.
All hire periods are from
Fri/Fri (or Sat/Sat from September onwards).

The accommodation must be
kept and left in a clean and tidy state and all furniture returned to the place
in which it was found on entry.
Linen is not supplied with
the accommodation, but duvets, pillows and bed covers are. There will be an extra charge if arrangements
are made for the caretaker to supply linen and payment for this should be made
directly to her at the commencement of the holiday.
Hirers of accommodation must
do nothing to make void any policy of insurance, must not cause a nuisance to
neighbours and must allow the owner and/or his agent reasonable access.
This is a non-smoking
cottage and pets are not allowed.
Mr & Mrs Hall do not
accept any liability for any accident, damage, loss, injury or expense, whether
to persons or property, which the tenants or any other persons may suffer or
incur arising out of, or in any way connected with, the letting.
In the event of a
cancellation, Mr & Mrs Hall will endeavour to re-let the property for the
period concerned and, if such re-letting proves possible, shall at their
discretion refund a proportion of the balance of money paid. However, if the property is not re-let your
liability will be for the whole rental amount.
Mr & Mrs Hall strongly
recommend that you take out your own holiday insurance cover.
